Ilan Samson and David Burghes do expositions on misconceptions in
people's understanding of mathematics which ultimately give rise to
errors. The authors have identified 24 of those most commonly found and
of these, the first 8 are listed . The others will follow as they become
available. Each of the documents to which these titles are linked
provides an explanation of how the misconception
arises so easily, together with some exercises aimed at reinforcing the
correction needed. It is hoped that a study of the reason, together
with practice of the exercises, will help to eliminate these errors.

WebMath
Webmath is a math-help web site that generates answers to specific math
questions and problems, as entered by a user, at any particular moment.
The math answers are generated and displayed real-time, at the moment a
web user types in their math problem and clicks "solve."
In addition to the answers, Webmath also shows the student how to arrive at
the answer.
Wolfram MathWorld Resource
Wolfram MathWorld is a free resource
from Wolfram Research built with Mathematica Technology created by Eric
Weisstein with contributions from the World's Mathematical community.
It boasts of the web's most extensive mathematics resource.
Practical Foundation of Mathematics
Practical Foundation of Mathematics is a textbook published in 1999 by Cambridge University Press. There are options to buy it online as well as read it online.
Why Must I Learn Math?
Mathematics has been described as the
foundation of science and technology and a pre-requisite for modern
industrial, economic and social development. It plays major role in the
process of economic growth and technological development. The critical
role mathematics plays in both technological and economic development
suggests that any society that is unable to understand and speaks the
grammar of mathematics will be unable to communicate and interact with
the rest of the world. While I was going through the web to search for
resources that could help my users to gain better understanding of the
subject. I came across this site provided by Mark Karadimos.
Find out why the subject is important and made compulsory at both
primary and secondary education, not only that and why it is central to
many professions.

PurpleMath Algebra
PurpleMath forums help students to gain understanding and
self-confidence in algebra. The forums exist in the hope of helping
learners grow in mathematical knowledge and inner strength. The forums
are free-access and are "staffed" by volunteers. For best success,
don't wait until the last minute or until you're "totally lost" ,start
asking questions as soon as you find yourself feeling "stuck". Why not
learn more of Algebra?
Calculus
This is a calculus textbook
at the college Freshman level based on Abraham Robinson's
infinitesimals, which date from 1960. The First Edition of this book
was published in 1976, and a revised Second Edition was published in
1986, both by Prindle, Weber & Schmidt. The book is now out of print
and the author decided (as of September 2002) to make the book
available for free in electronic form at this site.
Critical Thinking Teacher Guide
Information explosion have made it
possible for researchers, teachers and learners to have more information
at their fingertips, but many of them face the challenges of finding,
evaluating and applying the information they discover. Microsoft
provides access to solving these problems: (1) improve search skills (2) evaluate the information they find and (3) incorporating the information in their work.

Mathematics - Guidelines for Study
Many people get nervous at the thought
of studying or using math. In most cases, the more mathematics you do,
the less scary it becomes. There are also some certain faulty
beliefs that contributed to poor performance in the learning of
mathematics, University of Alabama, Center for Teaching and Learning
has tried to correct some of these misconceptions that has undermine
students' abilities. The Center has provided Mathematics: Guidelines for Study.
